Blogger Meredith Ethington created "A Real Mom's Guide To A Clean House." This genius method includes steps like "pick up all stuff on floors and shove them in a closet" and "consider dusting, but just laugh."
"I find myself overwhelmed with the daily tasks of just keeping the house picked up and staying on top of the laundry," Meredith told WomansDay.com. "Yet I kept seeing all these guides on Pinterest that talk about how you can keep your house looking spotless in an hour or less per day."
Meredith also took to Facebook to further explain her practical cleaning tips in this hilarious video:
The reality of her own life as a mother to three kids (aged 5, 8 and 10) inspired Meredith to make this hilariously honest guide. She wanted to "show both the pretty and messy sides of parenting" — something we don't often see reflected on social media.
"I hope that moms will just take away that they don't have to be perfect," she said. "Yes, we need to clean our houses! But do they need to look like a magazine? No way. We do live here, after all."
